Prior to Investec Asset Management, David worked at Gartmore Asset Management with responsibility for capital raising for their hedge fund business. Previously, David was head of institutional pooled sales in the UK and offshore areas for Fleming Investment Management.

Wendy Appleton joined Pictet in 2008 as Head of Strategic Partnership Sales. She was appointed Head of Sales - UK & Ireland in October 2016 covering the UK Wholesale and Retail markets.
Prior to Pictet she was Head of 3rd Party at Henderson Global Investors for three years. From 1996 to 2005 she was an Account Manager at National Provident Institution and then at Norwich Union. She started her career in 1994 at Sterling Asset Management.

Jasper joined Artemis in October 2018 as Head of Distribution, a partner and member of the Executive Committee. Jasper worked for JP Morgan Asset Management, latterly as Country Head (UK), for 20 years until March 2018. He is a member of the Financial Capability Board. Beth is news editor of Investment Week where she heads up the news desk for both online and print. She has spent 13 years in the industry across various financial titles and was formerly editor of Fund Strategy. Annabel Brodie-Smith is Communications Director at the Association of Investment Companies (AIC). Her role is varied but chiefly focuses on communicating the uses and features of investment companies to the media, opinion formers, advisers and private investors. Annabel heads up the AIC's training and information programme for advisers and wealth managers. This aims to increase awareness and understanding of investment companies through seminars, conferences and online training tools.
Prior to joining the AIC Annabel worked at Hill & Knowlton, the PR Agency, where her work included working on the winning Athens 2004 Olympic bid, before joining the AIC in November 1997. After obtaining a B.A in Geography from LSE/King's College, and an M.A from Syracuse University in New York, Annabel went on to obtain a postgraduate diploma in public and media relations from the University of Wales.
Originally from Lancashire, Matt was the first in his family to go to university and holds a BA honours degree in Medieval and Modern History from the University of Birmingham. Matt founded LGBT Great in 2017 with the vision to create a global investment and savings industry which supports and promotes LGBT+ talent and society. Since inception LGBT Great has kick started LGBT+ inclusion within the sector and has developed into a specialist membership organisation. His team creates and delivers innovative education, visibility and outreach programmes and has also developed a technology tool called the Investment Industry Benchmark Tracker, known as the iiBT. This helps firms to track and measure LGBT+ organisational inclusion maturity. Matt is the Co-Founder and Managing Director of The Ocean Partnership, a firm which specialises in helping firms to understand, attract and engage diverse talent. In 2017 he also became an active ambassador of the Diversity Project and sits on the group's Steering Committee.

Andy was named as Chief Executive Officer of HSBC Global Asset Management (UK) in January 2013. Having started his career stockbroking at Barclays de Zoete Wedd, Andy moved into mutual funds with Henderson before joining HSBC Asset Management for the first time in 1995. He then became Sales Director at Fidelity in 1998. After four years an opportunity arose to launch DWS Investments (a Deutsche Bank subsidiary) into the UK Retail Market. The business was successful and eventually sold to Aberdeen in 2005. Andy returned to HSBC as Head of UK Retail and in 2008 was given additional responsibility for wholesale distribution in the MENA region. In 2011 he became Regional Head of Wholesale, EMEA. In 2013 Andy was made CEO of the UK Asset Management.

Colette joined LGIM in 2018 from M&G Investments where she spent nearly a decade working to create and maintain a balanced workforce. During her tenure, she helped grow and implement M&G's Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) strategy addressing gender, ethnicity, nationality, LGBT, cultural diversity, social backgrounds and mental health/wellbeing. During her career, she also held senior roles in employer brand, talent attraction and retention, delivering innovative solutions to ensure a diverse candidate pipeline.
Colette is responsible for driving the evolution and continuous improvement of LGIM's culture, as well as LGIM's diversity and inclusion objectives. Colette works closely with the executive team, LGIM's diversity and inclusion team (LEGIT), and Legal & General's Group Diversity and Inclusion team.

Caroline Connellan has more than 20 years' experience in financial services. Before joining Brooks Macdonald she was Head of UK Premier and Wealth at HSBC where she led the transformation of the UK Wealth business. Prior to this she held a number of senior corporate roles, including Group Strategy Director at Standard Life, and had extensive experience in the wealth and asset management sector as a consultant at McKinsey. Caroline started her career as a Fund Manager with Newton Investment Management in London.

Louise is a partner at Camarco, a firm she founded with three others in 2014. She has over 25 years' of media and communications experience specialising in asset management, pensions and wealth management. She started her career working in-house at a specialist pension firm before moving into agency life and has never looked back. She has developed a network of top tier business and financial contacts, running critically acclaimed campaigns and on-going public relations programmes for a wide range of clients. Isabel leads our multi-manager research team who are responsible for researching, rating and recommending external managers for a range of Aviva and Aviva Investors clients and products. Isabel is a champion of ESG integration and is responsible for driving the integration of environmental, social and governance factors into the research process.
Isabel has extensive experience of fund research and the development of appropriate systems and processes for multi-manager investing. She played a central role in the development of Standard Life Investment's multi-manager proposition in 2010 and the establishment of Standard Life Wealth in 2008. Prior to this, she worked at ABN Amro Private Bank on the discretionary portfolio management team and at Innovest Strategic Value Advisors, an SRI consultancy.

Nambia Ferguson is Head of UK Channel Marketing for Legg Mason Global Asset Management. She joined 2011, having previously worked at J.P. Morgan Asset Management from 2004-2011 as Head of Business Strategy for the UK business and before that as Head of European marketing.
Prior to this, Charlotte worked in advertising at McCann Erickson Worldwide as Head of McCann Financial Europe. She obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from Bristol University.

Will is chief executive of the CFA Society of the UK (CFA UK). CFA UK represents the interests of more than 12,000 members of the UK investment profession. The society is one of the largest member societies of CFA Institute and is committed to leading the development of the investment profession through the promotion of the highest ethical and technical standards. Will leads much of the society's advocacy and engagement work and authored its 2016 report on the 'Value of the Investment Profession'. Bhavini ‘Bev' Shah, is the Founder and CEO of City Hive, the only professional network dedicated to uniting, supporting and championing women at all levels of asset and investment management. Seema is Chief Strategist at Principal Global Investors. Based in London, she oversees global market strategy and advises investment staff across the firm in making economically sound asset allocation calls. She is responsible for the creation of global economic macro and secular event research, closely monitoring global central bank policy and political developments. Seema is a regular participant in conferences and forums speaking about global macro market issues. She is frequently quoted by the financial news media and appears regularly on CNBC and Bloomberg TV. Seema joined the firm in 2010, previously working as a strategist within Principal Global Fixed Income. Prior to joining Principal, Seema served as an economist at Capital Economics. She also worked with the macro consulting group at PricewaterhouseCoopers, and as an economist at HM Treasury. She received a master's degree and bachelor's degree with honours in economics from the London School of Economics.

Ebru Smith worked in the financial services industry for over 20 years starting her career as an analyst & reporter at Bloomberg when they first launched their offices in London. She briefly worked as an Economic Assistant at the British Embassy in Ankara, followed by her role as a Client Services Manager at Schroders working with institutional pension funds. For 10 years she worked at Reliance Mutual Insurance Society managing a £450mn UK Equity Fund as well as co-managing the Society's other funds including their Life & Pension Funds. She worked as a buy-side analyst at Duncan Lawrie Private Banking helping the team set up tailored portfolios using her skills in portfolio construction and asset allocation. She was appointed Director at Brewin Dolphin, charged with managing their £550mn AUM as Head of Portfolio Management. She decided to start up her own company in 2018; Ebru Smith Consultancy Limited, to make better use of her multi-skills and give something back to the industry as an analyst, trainer, mentor & marketing consultant at Denny Ellison and as an investment consultant for Incisive Media.
With a 33 year career in Investment Management, Sarah's role has evolved from managing a client base in the Brewin Dolphin Marlborough office to becoming the first female executive director to sit on their Board. Sarah was the Head of Investment Management at JM Finn; and is a Board member of the Personal Investment Management & Financial Advice Association and on the Council of the Institute Of Directors where she is a member of the Nominations Committee and Chairman of the Constitutional Reform Committee and also chairs the Marie Curie Spring Arts Committee.
Karis Stander is the Managing Director of Investment20/20, an entry-level talent services for the investment management industry with a specific focus on increasing diversity and widening access for young people. Karis joined Investment20/20 in 2014 and under her leadership it is now a multi-award winning organisation that has enabled more than 1,500 trainees to enter the industry through over 45 partner firms. Ozge Usta is the Global Head of Client Propositions & Client Experience at HSBC Global Asset Management. She is responsible for proposition development and delivery, as well as product marketing globally, for all asset classes and all client groups. With over 18 years of banking experience, Ozge has held a number of positions, predominantly across Asset Management and Retail banking in both emerging and developed markets. Ozge started her career as a graduate trainee at Denizbank (a Turkish commercial bank) in Istanbul, looking after Financial Institutions relationships, covering Southern Europe.
